When you say "no one lives forever" you think James Bond right? Well, No One Lives Forever 2 is in no way connected with 007 but the whole idea is very similar. You play a top undercover spy called Cate Archer and it is your mission to put a stop to the H.A.R.M. Organisation whose plans threaten to start World War 3, and you must do this whilst staying out of H.A.R.M.'s way.

In true 'spy' style you are armed with a number of weapons and gadgets from the humble hand pistol to the very cleverly disguised 'hairspray can' which is in fact a miniature welder, capable of welding locks and door hinges. More weapons and accessories can be picked up along your way as you kill and search your enemies, before carrying the bodies off and leaving them hidden out of sight.

The interactive environment adds many possibilities to the game play, such as the option to knock over bottles that will attracted the attention of your enemies, this of course needn't be a bad thing as e a couple of ninja's stumbling around looking for what made the noise may well open an opportunity to sneak past them while they are distracted.

Stealth is a large part of gameplay as sometimes it is just far easier to sneak around, avoiding fights and drawing less attention to you. Certain area's will allow you to stay hidden which gives a great opportunity for jumping out unsuspectingly on your enemies or simply waiting for them to pass by before quietly moving on. The stealth option also gives you the ability to peek around corners and hide whilst observing your enemies, sometimes taking photographs with your mini camera, disguised as lipstick.

In between each chapter of the game is a video sequence which tells you the story and progress you have made. Here you will also find out your next mission or objectives. The missions themselves can be pretty hard work if you go about them the wrong way and luckily the game features an auto-save that saves your games after each chapter.

The games AI really adds a realistic element to the game, if you make a noise your enemies will be spooked and will try and alert the others. When engaged in a shoot-out your enemies will not just stand there and be shot at, they use their own tactics to get the better of you; they may hide and shoot from behind doors, dive on the floor and jump around. The ninja's can also disappear in a smoke bomb and appear closer to (or behind) you in order to take you by surprise and confuse you. You must stay alert if you are to succeed.

No one lives forever 2, while not visually stunning does feature good graphical detail that complements the gameplay well and overall combines to make an enjoyable game.
