Capcom has announced Project Resistance at the Tokyo Game Show today, billing it as a new style of survival game set in the Resident Evil universe.
Project Resistance (Working title) will see 4 players team up to take on one “Mastermind” player in 4v1 game mode.
In each game one Mastermind player tracks the four Survivors through a network of security cameras, staying one step ahead at every turn to prevent their escape. The Mastermind plots a deadly course by wielding a strategic deck of cards to create dangerous obstacles for the Survivors, such as summoning vicious creatures, setting traps, manipulating the environment, and weaponizing security cameras. The Mastermind player will also be able to take direct control of zombies in the game in order to impede the other players escape. Also, for the first time in the franchise’s history Mastermind players will be able to control of The Tyrant.
Mastermind will get to play as Tyrant.
Project Resistance is set to be released through Steam.
