Valve has offered a small slice of hope for the many PC gamers out there waiting for confirmation of the existence of Half-life 3.

In an interview posted on Game Informer, Valve game designer Robin Walker stated "Half-Life means a lot to us, and it's been incredibly rewarding to refamiliarize ourselves with its characters, setting, and mechanics. There are Half-Life: Alyx team members who have been at Valve since Half-Life 2, and quite a few who go back to the original Half-Life."

Talking about the studio's most recent title, Half-life: Alyx which is releasing later this month and why it had to be a VR only game, Walker went on to "We absolutely see Half-Life: Alyx as our return to this world, not the end of it."

It’s only a small chance but I’ll take it, so fingers crossed we will here something soon.
