The much loved but equally despised Trials of Osiris game mode is returning to the Destiny universe next month in Season of the Worthy.

The 3v3 PvP mode was a huge success in the original game when it arrived each weekend but was replaced in Destiny 2 with the less intense Trials of the Nine. It was the source of division in the games community with those who found success often defending the game mode against those who did not.

The game mode pits 2 teams of 3 players against each other in a last man standing contest. The first team to win 3 rounds, wins the match. With the return of Trials, also comes the original armour set that featured in the first Destiny game, and if memory serves me correctly it looks awesome! Also returning from the original game are multiplayer maps Cauldron, Exodus Blue and Anomaly.

“We kept hearing the players talking about it, we were also feeling it amongst ourselves, I can’t wait to bring back a version of the Trials that I actually remembered from Destiny 1” has explained Justin Truman, Production director at Bungie

Trial of Osiris returns to the Destiny universe on March 13th.
